General

Founded in 2019, Bivial AG is a deposit-taking financial institution offering online businesses access to Swiss multi-currency IBAN accounts, global payment acceptance, and digital disbursement solutions.

Bivial’s mission is to solve the widening gap between the transactional and payment needs of online companies and the antiquated systems, processes, and experiences offered by brick-and-mortar financial institutions.

At Bivial, we built the technology and operational focus needed by online companies by providing digital merchants with modern Swiss transactional accounts, payments and digital disbursement solutions.

Businesses we can serve: Affiliate Networks, Marketplaces, Affiliates, Marketers, Social Influencers, Online Merchants, Fintechs & PSPs.

Bivial AG is a deposit-taking financial institution authorised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) under the Swiss Federal Banking Act, Article 1b.

An EMI license, or Electronic Money Institution license, is a type of financial regulation that allows a company to issue electronic money and provide payment services and is granted by a national regulatory authority, such as the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK.

Bivial is authorised by FINMA under the Swiss Federal Banking Act, Article 1b. The Swiss Federal Banking Act sets out the legal framework for Banks and Savings Banks in Switzerland.

An EMI license is a specific type of license that allows a company to engage in limited activities related to electronic payments, while the Swiss Federal Banking Act is a broader piece of legislation that establishes the legal framework for the banking industry in Switzerland.

Bivial AG is located in Zug, Switzerland.
